Trainingpa.com,
an
online training resource database which covers all of Northwest
Pennsylvania,
is
now
available at
www.trainingpa.com. An initiative of the Keystone Community
Education Council and developed by
One to Many Computer & Training Solutions, LLC
and
Computer Showcase, CSOnline and The Learning Center, the database offers
businesses and individuals a one-stop gateway to training and
education opportunities in Northwest Pennsylvania.
Whether a
business owner is looking for training for themselves or their employees or
an individual is looking to improve or build on their skills, TrainingPa.com
offers new ways to easily search for, find, and enroll in the
training/education classes that best meet their needs and help them make a
more informed decision on how to best spend their training dollars.
The database
includes degree, certificate, online, management, specific skill, and custom
training and searches can be done by – keyword, subject, training provider,
location, and date range. Whether one wants traditional classroom setting,
online training or custom training can also be specified. By
clicking on a title in the list of courses that meet the criteria entered,
searchers will be linked to additional information on the course. A link is
also available there to register with the provider of the program or to ask
for additional information.
So far, twenty-nine (29) education/training providers have registered to be
included in the database. In addition to all the providers the Keystone
Community Education Council traditionally works with, ed2go has also joined
and added over 300 online courses.
For training providers, whether a
university, community college, technical school, chamber, or an
economic or workforce development organization, becoming a part of this :TrainingPA
database offers a new and easy way to connect with future students and
become a part of the big picture in Pennsylvania training. Enrollment is
easy – just go to www.trainingpa.com
and click on the “Contact Us” link on the top of the page.
Once a provider fills out the
onlinesign-up request form they will be given a user name and password,
plus a PDF on how to access the site and enter their training schedule.
Providers have the option to either hand enter a few classes or to download
a complete database. When one of
their courses comes up in a search, a link is provided to the course
description they posted and then to their designated contact person for
either more information or to register. Each provider will handle all their
own registrations and payments.
